In the midst of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' efforts to bolster his challenged pursuit of the Republican presidential nomination, it has come to light that he and his
supporters have allocated a substantial sum of money – surpassing his competitors – to establish a connection with a prominent Christian conservative figure and his supporters in Iowa.
While trailing significantly behind former President Donald Trump in nationwide polls and grappling with internal campaign turmoil, DeSantis and his advisors have invested significantly in Iowa. Their objective is to disrupt Trump's advancing momentum by surpassing him in the state's caucuses scheduled for January 15. These caucuses mark the outset of the Republican Party's process to determine their next presidential candidate. Notably, the support of Iowa's influential evangelical voting bloc is pivotal to this strategy. Photo by Gage Skidmore from Peoria, AZ, United States of America, Wikimedia commons.
